Overview
Create better-performing product feeds in Shopify and increase your profitability using Style Arcade's push tags function!
Style Arcade offers 2 tagging options:
Manual - apply tags to one or more products as a one-time action.
Automated - tags are automatically updated based on filter criteria.
Getting Started
Before you can utilise the function, please make sure you've actioned the following to permit Style Arcade to push tags. 😉
Note: If you have multiple Shopify sites connected to Style Arcade, please ensure you have actioned the above instructions for all Shopify sites.
👉 This is currently eligible for customers on the newest Shopify integration only. If you are unsure whether your brand is eligible, please don't hesitate to reach out.
👉 You will need to have an Owner role to access this feature and allocate permissions to the users who can access the role settings, instructions here
👉 You can create tags in all Shopify stores as long as they are integrated and allow permissions for Style Arcade to push tags 😎
👉 Further editing/removal of the manual tags created will need to be done in Shopify
Manual Tags
Create manual tags for products:
1. Firstly, create a list of products you wish to tag on Style Arcade
Tips:
Use your product filters or paste product codes on the search bar
You can also use the Multi-Select function to narrow down your list
2. Click Actions then Tag in Shopify
3. Select Manual Tag to push the tags one-time & instantly to Shopify
4. Add your tags in the field and click Add tags to Shopify and you're done!
Note: You can create multiple tags to the products by adding a comma in between the tags
5. You can filter the tags you pushed on Style Arcade the next day after the data is refreshed using the Shopify Tags filter. 🙌
Automated Tags
To create automated tags:
1. Create a list of products you wish to tag on Products Tab
Tips:
Use your product filters or paste product codes on the search bar
You can also use the Multi-Select function to narrow down your list
2. Click Actions then Tag in Shopify
3. Select Automated Tag to push the tags to all products selected within the filtered criteria & instantly add to Shopify
4. Add your tag in the field and click Create automated tag and you're done! The tag will be added to your products after the data refresh.
You can only add one automated tag at a time for each criterion.
To edit an existing automated tag criteria:
1. Go to the Tags page on the top right
2. Find the automated tag you'd like to update and click edit
3. You'll be led to a products page to change your filters, and once you've updated your new criteria click Save on the toolbar.
4. The automated tags will then detect products that match the updated criteria and remove tags from those that don't match the next day after the data refresh!
To remove an automated tag:
1. Go to the Tags page on the top right
2. Find the automated tag you'd like to update and click the bin icon to remove
This action does not remove any existing tags applied to the products. You will need to remove the tags from Shopify.
🔎 FAQs
1. How do I permit other users to push tags to Shopify?
If you have an Owner role in Style Arcade, you can allocate which users get access to push tags to Shopify 👑
Here's how:
Go to Settings > Users
Go to Roles
Create a new role or edit an existing role
Ensure that the role has Edit Shopify tags ticked ✅
Go back to Users settings and assign the role to the users you wish to permit to:
And voila! They should be able to see the Push Tags to Shopify option when they log in
2. If I have 2 or more Shopify sites connected to Style Arcade, can I choose which one to create tags?
Yes, you can! When you are pushing tags, click on the Shopify store dropdown to select the stores you wish to push.
3. Can Style Arcade add or remove tags in Shopify?
With Manual Tag - Once a tag has been created, all further editing & removal needs to be done on Shopify.
With Automated Tag - Style Arcade will automatically update/remove tags from products that no longer meet the filter criteria daily.
4. Can I filter by the tags I created in Shopify in the app?
Yes! The tags will show up the next day after your data refresh in the 'Shopify Tags' filter.
5. Will automated tags show up in Shopify tags filter?
This is currently not available, however is in the works, be sure to stay in the loop using the Messenger > News on the bottom right
6. If I remove the automated tag flow, will it also remove the tags?
Currently, if you delete the automated tag flow this does not remove the tags that has been set up from the flow. Any further removal will have to be manually deleted.
7. Can I see a history of when the automated tag filters were updated?
This feature is currently not available. Be sure to check out our Messenger for further updates in the future.
8. How soon do tags appear in Shopify?
Automatic Tags go into Shopify when the ingest is run (overnight/multiple times a day depending on the refresh time).
Manual Tags go into Shopify instantly.
